Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Survey Manager to lead and oversee survey operations for a team in Kansas City. This individual will be responsible for managing both field and office staff, ensuring high-quality project delivery across multiple active job sites. The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience, a background in land surveying, and the ability to manage technical, operational, and client-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all survey operations, including field crews, office staff, and project execution
Supervise survey teams (typically 8–10 trucks, crews of 2) across multiple projects throughout the Kansas City area
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Establish and maintain technical standards and quality control processes
Review and approve survey work, including drawings and documentation
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams on project requirements and progress
Assist with business development, proposals, and client relationship management
Navigate technical, legal, and financial aspects of survey projects

Required Skills & Experience
8–15+ years of professional experience in surveying or related field
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to obtain
Experience managing multiple projects and field crews simultaneously
Proficiency with survey tools and software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, LiDAR, or similar)
Ability to read, review, and approve survey drawings and documentation
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field (ABET accredited preferred)
Experience stamping and approving survey drawings through state licensure
Experience with topographic (topo) survey and advanced survey technologies
