Insight Global is seeking a Senior VMware / Azure Migration Engineer to support a large-scale VM migration initiative within a banking environment. This role will partner closely with the Program Manager and broader infrastructure teams to drive the migration of virtual machines into Azure.

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years in infrastructure engineering / cloud migration / virtualization
Deep expertise in VMware stack (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi)
Hands-on experience with VMware HCX (bulk migration, RAV, network extension)
Minimum 1+ year of Azure VM migration experience in enterprise environments
Strong experience with Azure Migrate, ASR, and migration wave planning
Solid understanding of Azure IaaS architecture (VMs, VNets, storage accounts, availability sets/zones)
Experience with networking concepts: DNS, load balancing, firewall rules, hybrid connectivity
Proven ability to define migration runbooks, wave planning, and rollback strategies
Experience with capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning
Background in banking / financial services environments (highly preferred)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform for automation
Exposure to DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) for infrastructure provisioning
Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Splunk, Dynatrace)
