Job Description
The Manager of Positive Employee Relations is responsible for leading and executing the organization’s employee relations strategy, with a focus on proactive engagement and a positive workplace environment. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, HR stakeholders, and legal partners, providing guidance on employee relations matters and ensuring alignment with company policies and employment laws.
Key responsibilities include advising leaders on employee relations practices, leading investigations into workplace concerns, and supporting conflict resolution and mediation efforts. The role also involves leveraging data and analytics to identify trends, conducting employee engagement audits, and recommending proactive solutions to improve employee experience and reduce risk.
Additionally, this position partners cross-functionally with HR, legal, and compliance teams to drive consistent practices, deliver training programs, and implement policy and process improvements. The Manager will help shape and execute strategic initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, support operational objectives, and promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and accountability.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of HR experience, including employee relations investigation and resolution
Strong knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws
Experience coaching managers, employees, and HR teams on policies, procedures, and ER matters
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and drive organizational change
Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and operate in sensitive/confidential
Experience with conflict resolution, mediation, and employee engagement initiatives
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results
Comfortable traveling up to 60% (domestic travel)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
Experience with HR analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Qualtrics)
Background in employee engagement surveys and action planning
Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods
