Cyber Security Analyst - SOC

Insight Global is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join a growing cyber security function for a medium‑to‑large enterprise environment. This is a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire opportunity, reporting into the Director of Cyber Security, supporting day‑to‑day security operations, incident response, and ongoing security improvements across a hybrid environment.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on, technically strong security professional with real SOC and tool experience (not theory‑only) who thrives in investigation, problem‑solving, and cross‑team collaboration.
The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for supporting and operating existing enterprise security solutions, as well as identifying, investigating, and helping resolve security incidents detected by those systems. The role also contributes to security improvements, vulnerability management, audits, and the maturation of processes and tooling.
This role works closely with infrastructure, IT, and business stakeholders, acting as a trusted security partner while helping the organization become more efficient and proactive.

• 2+ years of hands‑on cyber security experience in a SOC or enterprise security environment
• Practical experience with:
○ EDR, SIEM, anti‑spam, anti‑phishing, and endpoint security tools
• Strong understanding of:
○ Networking fundamentals (IP, TCP/IP, routing concepts) from a security perspective
○ Server and desktop operating systems
• Experience working in medium‑to‑large enterprise environments (not a one‑person IT shop)
• Demonstrated investigative mindset with real‑world examples of problem analysis and resolution
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills

• Arctic Wolf SOC integrations and alert handling
• CrowdStrike administration
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls v8, ISO 27001
• Exposure to cloud security (Azure / AWS)
• Early‑stage automation or AI‑assisted security workflows
• ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
• Microsoft Security certifications
• Additional certifications considered an asset:
○ CompTIA Security+
○ GIAC Information Security Fundamentals
○ Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Security
