Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Finance Manager to lead inventory strategy, forecasting, and process improvement related to Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory across North America for one of our largest Consumer Goods clients. This role serves as the primary finance partner for inventory risk, write‑offs, and material disposition decisions, driving stronger visibility, governance, and financial outcomes. The ideal candidate blends strong finance fundamentals with supply chain insight, forecasting capability, and process improvement leadership.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Serve as the Finance focal point for SLOB and inventory risk initiatives across North America.
Build and maintain forecasting models to predict inventory write‑offs, MDA activity, and balance sheet exposure.
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Compliance teams on inventory disposition decisions.
Link inventory forecasts to P&L impact and balance sheet reserves.
Support and streamline the monthly SLOB close process.
Identify process gaps and implement standard, scalable solutions.
Track and validate financial benefits from inventory reduction initiatives.
Lead cross‑functional working sessions and ensure accountability on action plans.
Improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and forecast transparency.

Required Skills & Experience
5-7 Years experience within Supply Chain Finance role within CPG, Manufacturing, or regulated environments
Extensive experience managing the financial impact of slow & obsolete (SLOB) inventory
Experience designing and implementing forecasting models to predict inventory write-offs
Experience modeling MDA (material disposition authority) decisions and timing of material disposition
Experience streamlining monthly inventory close processes
Advanced Excel or financial modeling skills
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· SAP experience
· Value stream mapping (VSM) experience
· Experience in CPG, OTC, pharma, or other regulated environments
