Job Description

The Engineering Services Department supports and provides comprehensive, full-service aerospace engineering services to customers in aircraft design and certification. The Engineering Services Department is responsible for providing engineering consulting services related to aircraft performance, similarity analysis, reviewing and supporting certification activities, determining test requirements, and planning and documenting testing to meet customer needs. The Engineering Services Department provides several areas of expertise in Flight Sciences, Electrical Systems, EWIS, Avionic Systems, Mechanical Systems, Powerplant & FIFA, Air Systems, Cabin Safety, Structures and Liaison Engineering.


Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership across all Systems Engineering domains for multiple programs, including requirements management, safety, security, certification, V&V, and development planning.
• Own and continuously improve Systems Engineering processes, tools, templates, and lifecycle governance across the organization.
• Lead system safety and certification efforts, serving as the technical authority for regulator engagement and compliance artifacts.
• Manage cost, schedule, and performance of systems engineering scope across a portfolio, applying Earned Value Management principles.
• Oversee quality of systems engineering deliverables, ensuring all artifacts meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards.
• Lead and develop the Systems Engineering team, including Group Leads and Engineers through staffing, workload management, performance reviews, and career development.
• Partner cross‑functionally with program management, design teams, flight test, configuration management, customers, suppliers, and certification authorities.
Identify and actively manage technical and program risks, reporting status, metrics, and recovery plans to leadership and customers.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
• 10+ years of aerospace engineering experience with significant depth in systems engineering domains (requirements, safety, certification, V&V, development planning).
• 3+ years of people and project leadership experience, including ownership of cost, schedule, and quality outcomes.
• Expertise in systems engineering lifecycle execution, including requirements management, verification & validation, safety, certification, and process assurance.
• Ability to lead system safety activities, including FHA, PSSA, SSA, common cause analysis, and closure of safety‑driven requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Avionics, or related).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to Have:
• Earned Value Management (EVM) experience on aerospace programs.
• Experience managing external contractors, consultants, or suppliers supporting systems engineering scope.
Exposure to advanced systems methodologies, such as model‑based systems engineering (MBSE).
