Job Description

Our construction engineering services client is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to support and oversee complex Civil Engineering projects from early planning through construction completion. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, compliance, and innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate complex Civil Engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
Provide technical expertise in the design and analysis of municipal and site development projects, including, roadways, master planning, culinary & secondary water infrastructure, wastewater infrastructure, grading, drainage, and stormwater management systems.
Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, including managing permitting and approval processes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—City Engineers, architects, planners, geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, and designers—to integrate civil engineering solutions into broader project designs.
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of engineering deliverables.
Support business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client engagement activities.
Provide construction-phase technical support, including material submittal review, site visits, documentation, and resolution of field issues.
Stay current with industry trends and technologies, championing innovative approaches to improve project outcomes and operational efficiency.

This role is offering $90-120k salary.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
3+ years of relevant industry experience in civil engineering design.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil design software tools.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other typical software.
Demonstrated experience in site layout and grading, stormwater, culinary & secondary water, wastewater, and roadway design, quantity takeoffs, preparation of project contract/bidding documents.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, and multidisciplinary partners.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Professional Engineering (P.E.) license highly preferred, or ability to acquire within 12 months of start.
Experience in hydraulics/hydrology software desirable.
