Job Description

Insight global is looking for a certified medical assistant to support a Primary Care provider in Carlsbad and Vista, CA. This person must have an active Medical Assistant Certification, CPR certification from the American Heart Association, and a high school diploma. The client is seeking a dynamic candidate who excels at multitasking, brings high energy, and demonstrates a friendly and compassionate demeanor towards patients. The family clinic involves rooming and triaging approximately 17 patients per day. Initially, the candidate may also assist with answering phone calls. This practice is currently utilizing EPIC EMR system.

Job Description:
Insight global is looking for a certified medical assistant to support a Primary Care provider in Carlsbad and Vista, CA. The client is seeking a dynamic candidate who excels at multitasking, brings high energy, and demonstrates a friendly and compassionate demeanor towards patients. Day to Day:
Deliver high-quality patient care through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic contact for examination, treatment, monitoring, and preparation for diagnostic tests or procedures.
Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, chief complaint, review of medications, allergies, health risk screen information, the status of extended care benefits, and other services.
Assist physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other patient care procedures as directed
Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policies.
Assist with tasks, phone calls, and messages; document all actions taken.
Proper, concise, and complete EMR documentation and paper-based documentation for all assessments and procedures.
Prepare and clean patient rooms and set up instruments and equipment according to protocol while maintaining infection control.

Interview Process:
2 rounds
1st round- phone call
2nd round- 30 min in person

Screening Questions:
-ask about if they have upcoming vacation time on the front end
-preface that they will have to pass a background check and drug screen (don’t ask them if they could pass, just make them aware that they have to do it if hired)
-if they seem good, get DOB and last 5 of social (need to submit into VMS)
