Job Description
We are seeking a hands on Human Resources Generalist to support HR Managers across multiple locations in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on employee relations support, HR operations, compliance, and manager training in both union and nonunion environments.
What you will do:
· Support employee relations issues and investigations
· Respond to employee and manager HR inquiries
· Prepare job change letters and maintain job descriptions
· Review background check results
· Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends
· Track compliance training and certifications
· Maintain accurate employee records
· Train new managers on HR processes
· Support compensation, benefits, leave, and performance processes

Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
· 3 to 4 years in an HR coordination or generalist role
· Experience supporting union workforces, whether internally or externally
· Prior experience onboarding large groups of employees at a time
· Strong knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and FLSA
Comfortable in fast paced, construction environment with ability to get around the job sites with no issues
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· SHRM CP
· Multi location support experience
· Experience with Oracle HRM as an HRIS
Experience with surge onboarding, supporting hundreds of new hires in a union environment
