Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing full cycle recruiting across all levels of the organization, from entry level through executive roles. This role partners closely with hiring managers to build effective recruiting strategies, deliver an excellent candidate experience, and ensure compliance with hiring policies and employment regulations. The ideal candidate is a relationship driven recruiter who can manage 5–10 requisitions at a time, build structured hiring processes, and serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders while supporting the organization’s diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging (DEIAB) efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Cycle Recruiting & Sourcing
Manage full life cycle recruiting for multiple roles at once, including high volume and specialized positions (e.g., Public Safety Officers).
Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, community partners, and passive recruiting techniques.
Post open positions, review applications, and conduct initial phone screens.
Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
Promote the employer brand by communicating the organization’s mission, culture, and career opportunities.
Hiring Manager Partnership
Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to understand role requirements, timelines, and hiring priorities.
Draft and refine job descriptions, interview questions, and candidate evaluation tools.
Guide hiring managers through the recruitment process, ensuring consistency and best practices.
Provide regular updates on candidate progress and hiring metrics.
Candidate Assessment & Experience
Design and conduct structured phone screens and interviews aligned with job related criteria.
Coordinate and ensure completion of background checks and pre employment requirements.
Deliver a positive, transparent candidate experience with timely communication throughout the hiring process.
Report screening and interview results clearly back to hiring teams.
Systems, Compliance & Metrics
Utilize ADP Recruiting and other applicant tracking systems to manage requisitions and candidate data.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, organizational policies, and hiring standards.
Track recruiting metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
Support DEIAB initiatives by incorporating inclusive sourcing and hiring practices.
Additional Duties
Train and coach hiring managers on interviewing, selection, and equitable hiring practices.
Prepare recruitment activity and metrics reports as requested by leadership.
Stay current on talent acquisition trends, tools, and best practices.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of established recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
Experience recruiting for all levels of talent.
Hands on experience navigating an Applicant Tracking System
