SAP Security and Administration Sr Analyst

This is a mid to senior SAP Security specialist. The person will handle user access, permissions, and system security in SAP S4HANA Public Cloud. They will also do some light SAP Basis administration and workflow configuration. Think of this role as the gatekeeper for who can do what inside the SAP system.

-Create their SAP access, new access.
•Lead SAP Security and Basis administration with working experience in SAP Public cloud.
•Manage the complete user lifecycle management.
•Manage Role & Authorization Management enforcing the principle of least privilege
•Configure and manage authentication mechanisms like SSO and integration with Identity Authentication Service (IAS)
•Manage Transport Management across systems while maintaining configuration consistency.
•Ensure role design and access assignments comply with SoD policies and minimize security risks through proper access governance.
•Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud flexible workflows (such as purchase order, supplier invoice, and journal entry approvals), including defining workflow steps, approval hierarchies, conditions, and ensuring proper role-based access for approvers.
•Monitor user activities, maintain audit logs, generate access reports, and support internal and external security audits along with Access review & governance.
•Maintain secure integration between SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP BTP, and 3rd party applications for seamless identity synchronization and access management.
•Review and maintenance of application operations, including batch jobs, connections to 3rd-party applications, monitoring and resolution of system errors, and associated tasks

• The role is described as an individual contributor role focused on executing tasks related to SAP security basis work, including moving transports.
• The role involves managing a large volume of tasks related to project work and daily requests, such as setting up accounts.
• The person will be handling user access permissions, system security, and SAP Public Cloud tasks.
• The core responsibilities include SAP system administration, SAP security role administration and creation, and SAP basis work.
SAP Security Administration
• Involves creating SAP IDs for new hires and managing user access.
• Also involves removing access for departing employees.
• Includes granting new access as needed and creating new roles to support business requirements.
• The person in this role would also help test the new roles.
System Administration Tasks
• Managing patch levels.
• Evaluating hotfixes.
• Tweaking settings and connecting different servers.
• Ensuring all systems are communicating, especially with BTP at the IP level.
Basis and Transport Management
• Moving code between environments.
• Resolving issues when code transports are blocked.
• Managing the process of requesting access and approvals.

• 3–4 years of SAP Security Administration experience
• Experience supporting SAP Public Cloud environments
• Strong system administration skills, including patch management, hot fixes, SAP connectivity, and system configuration changes
• SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) experience, including Basis transports, code changes, and transport management

-Travel capability to Canada - supporting go live in August/September
