Job Description:
The Stormwater Engineer/Technician supports stormwater design and permitting efforts for infrastructure and site projects. This role is primarily design‑focused, spending time reviewing consultant plans for permitting, preparing stormwater permits with the Department of Natural Resources, and completing site design to manage stormwater flow. Responsibilities also include hydraulic modeling for sites and bridge openings to ensure adequate water conveyance. Candidates will work onsite Monday through Friday and use CAD and hydraulic modeling tools, with training provided as needed.
Day to Day:
- Review stormwater plans submitted by consultants to ensure compliance with permitting requirements
- Prepare and submit stormwater permit documentation to the Department of Natural Resources
- Complete site design to manage stormwater runoff and drainage
- Perform hydraulic modeling to evaluate stormwater flow for sites and bridge openings
- Support bridge and culvert modeling to ensure adequate water conveyance
- Use CAD and hydraulic modeling software to assist with design and analysis (training provided)
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants on stormwater‑related projects

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
- 2 - 6 years of stormwater engineering
Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Prior design experience using CAD or working with hydraulic modeling
