Insight Global is looking for a Data Analytics Consultant to support the Internal Audit organization at one of our large financial clients. This individual will perform in a few functions, including:
Lead the development of complex data analytics that support audit planning, execution, and continuous monitoring
Serve as a trusted partner to Internal Audit stakeholders, helping them understand how data can be leveraged to test controls and identify risk
Design, build, and maintain analytics using SQL, SAS, and Python across large financial datasets
Help define analytical approaches for new or evolving audit areas where standard testing does not yet exist
Mentor junior analysts by reviewing work, providing guidance on analytical design, and sharing best practices
Drive automation and scalability of audit analytics to improve efficiency and consistency across the audit organization

Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience working within a Data Analytics role
Background working with Audit data sets, or in lieu of direct audit experience, then financial background working with data sets of similar nature such as: AML, Compliance, Regulatory reporting, Risk or controls-related datasets
Ability to directly support Internal Audit stakeholders
Strong data analytics experience using SAS, SQL, and Python (analytics-focused; not engineering)
Experience designing or contributing to data analytics solutions (dashboards, repeatable analyses, control testing support, etc.)
Comfortable translating business questions/requirements/challenges into analytical approaches and solutions
(e.g., understanding what auditors are asking and determining how data can answer it)
Mentorship experience (guiding junior analysts on approach, logic, and best practices)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience helping teams build analytics roadmaps when the end goal is known but the path is not
Automation and process-improvement mindset
