Infrastructure Architect

Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking an Infrastructure Architect for a leading SaaS technology organization. This individual will own the design and implementation of enterprise-grade AWS infrastructure supporting large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms. The role focuses on building highly available, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, and modern DevOps practices. This is a senior-level opportunity for a hands-on architect who enjoys influencing strategy, mentoring teams, and driving cloud excellence across the organization.

Day-to-Day:
· Define and own the infrastructure architecture strategy and roadmap
· Design and implement secure, scalable AWS infrastructure for multi-tenant SaaS platforms
· Build reusable, modular infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
· Architect tenant isolation across compute, storage, network, and data layers
· Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
· Implement deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling)
· Establish enterprise monitoring, observability, and alerting standards
· Lead disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies
· Partner with engineering teams to enforce best practices and governance
· Lead architecture reviews, incident response, and post-mortems
Mentor teams on AWS, DevOps, and infrastructure best practices

Compensation:
$$160,000 to $$175,000 per year annual salary.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Additionally, The client offers PTO, 2 floating holidays in addition to 10 calendar holidays per year, 401(k) with up to a 5% match.
STD/LTD, Life and AD&D are paid for by the company, with option to increase the life insurance at the cost of the IC.

· 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and cloud engineering
· Expert-level AWS infrastructure experience (enterprise, production-grade environments)
· Deep hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation
· Strong experience architecting multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure
· Proven experience designing scalable, secure, highly available AWS architectures
· Experience building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure (GitLab CI/CD required)
· Strong understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and SaaS Lens
· Experience with monitoring and observability (CloudWatch, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
· Experience integrating third-party SaaS platforms and AWS Marketplace products
· AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

Plusses:
· Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
· Multi-cloud experience (Azure and/or GCP)
· Experience operating SaaS platforms at scale
· AWS SaaS Factory program involvement
· AWS Marketplace ISV or seller experience
· Strong FinOps and cost-optimization expertise
· Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001)
Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
