Insight Global is looking to add a Substation Design Specialist with experience in electric substations to their consultancy division in an effort to support the maintenance division of a local utility company. The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for field asset data validation and cleaning within IBM Maximo. Day to day responsibilities include:
• Assess current asset data in existing platforms performing gap analysis and development of best practice strategies to complete asset data.
• Document discrepancies between design and field conditions for remediation.
• Validate adherence to regulatory standards and internal specifications.
• Conduct gap analysis for missing or inaccurate data and recommend corrective actions
• Upload verified data into asset management systems
• Generate weekly progress reports and compliance summaries for stakeholders.
• Operate specialized software for equipment data collection and analysis.

Required Skills & Experience
• Experience with electric utility asset design or drafting, specifically electric substations.
• Field-to-system data validation experience, including gap analysis between design documents and field conditions.
• Knowledge of utility standards and compliance requirements related to asset data.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including documenting discrepancies and progress updates.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Hands on experience working in IBM Maximo, with a focus on asset data validation, cleanup, and maintenance workflows.
• Experience with utility GIS systems or asset drawings (one lines, schematics, as builts).
• Familiarity with field data collection tools (tablets, mobile Maximo, barcode/RFID scanning).
• Prior work supporting utility maintenance, asset management, or compliance programs.
