Job Description
The Sr. Solutions Architect leads delivery for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) engagements, owning outcomes from a delivery standpoint and ensuring quality across what’s designed, implemented, configured, and delivered.
This role directs a team of Senior Consultants, setting technical direction, reviewing work, and ensuring the overall engagement stays on track across multiple concurrent client projects.
The Architect is expected to be an expert-level VCF practitioner with real-world experience in enterprise environments, including brownfield and greenfield deployments and lifecycle activities (upgrades/migrations). This is a fully remote role and requires the flexibility to work in various US time zones and the ability to travel up to 20% for client facing activity.

Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years in solutions architecture or enterprise infrastructure delivery and 8–10+ years of progressive technical responsibility
• 10+ years hands-on VMware experience in enterprise environments, with proven VMware Cloud Foundation delivery ownership (VCF v5 required; v9 highly preferred)
• Demonstrated engagement leadership: accountable for delivery outcomes, quality, and execution across design/implementation/configuration
• Ability to direct and mentor senior consultants (typically multiple consultants per architect)
• Strong VCF ecosystem capability: VCF Automation (Aria) and/or VCF Operations as priority skill areas
• Strong foundation in core SDDC domains: virtualization operations, vSAN/storage (SAN), and NSX/virtual networking
• Practical automation competence: PowerShell/PowerCLI (and ability to read/modify scripts) plus at least one IaC tool such as Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack
• Consulting-grade communication skills to run discovery, document designs, and guide stakeholders through decisions and tradeoffs
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Proven hands-on VMware Cloud Foundation Version 9 deployments (fast-track signal)
• “Known in the VMware/Broadcom community” credibility (recognized expert / been-there-done-that profile)
• VMware Kubernetes Services (VKS) experience or strong Kubernetes platform delivery experience
• Network/security specialization: NSX, AVI, vDefend (useful lane-fillers on Lee’s teams)
• Private AI foundation exposure (GPU-enabled infrastructure concepts), plus NVIDIA AI certification
• Disaster recovery, backup, and ransomware resiliency solution leadership
• Advanced certifications: VCDX/VCIX/VCAP/VCP (or comparable), and/or cloud certs (AWS/Azure/GCP)
