My client in the insurance industry, is looking for a Director of Compliance to lead the company’s efforts to follow all insurance regulations. This includes managing state licenses, registrations, certifications, permits, regulatory filings, and agent appointments across the organization.

This role works closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to make sure the company follows all federal and state laws. These include rules related to Franchise operations, Property & Casualty insurance, the Affordable Care Act, Medicare Advantage, and HIPAA privacy and data security, as well as other insurance products. The Director also oversees required reports and filings with state Departments of Insurance.

The Director of Compliance partners with company leadership and operational teams to maintain strong compliance practices, improve internal controls, and support business growth. Over time, this role is expected to grow into a successor to the Chief Compliance Officer, taking on broader leadership of the company’s compliance function.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree (Business, Risk Management, Finance or related field)
- 3+ years in insurance and/or compliance
- Experience with insurance operations (P&C, Medicare Advantage, ACA)
- Understanding of insurance agency workflow
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Florida 2-20 (P&C) or 2-15 (Life & Health license
