An investment management client is seeking a Vice President, Investment & Trading Technology to join their team! This individual will serve as the lead business analyst and product owner for the firm’s Order Management System, partnering closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Middle Office, and Compliance to support and enhance front‑office trading workflows. The role will focus on translating business requirements into executable solutions, managing vendor‑led development efforts, driving system enhancements, and leading UAT activities across OMS and related trading platforms. This position plays a critical role in a multi‑year technology transformation initiative centered on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency. This is a full‑time role based in Los Angeles, CA, offering a base salary of $175,000–$200,000 with hybrid on‑site requirements (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Required Skills & Experience
• 8–10+ years of experience implementing, supporting, or enhancing an Order Management System (OMS) within an investment management environment
• Hands‑on experience with OMS platforms such as Charles River or Aladdin (migration experience strongly preferred)
• Deep understanding of front office trading workflows, including Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance, and Trade Support
• Strong fixed income expertise across corporates, bank loans, CLOs, derivatives, and FX
• Proven experience gathering business requirements and producing functional specifications, use cases, and delivery‑oriented documentation
• Ownership of project deliverables related to OMS implementations or enhancements
• Experience leading or supporting UAT and system validation efforts
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with front‑office users
• Background in active investment management
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field
• Experience with electronic trading platforms (Tradeweb, MarketAxess, EMSX, FlexTrade, TSOX)
• SQL querying and/or Python scripting experience
• Vendor management and third‑party system onboarding experience
• Experience with FIX protocol and SWIFT messaging
• Background in alternative investments or complex asset classes
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Prior exposure to product management or technology transformation initiatives
