Job Description

As an LIS Analyst for Insight Global, you will be responsible for the implementation of Data Innovations Instrument Manager to integrate approximately 91 laboratory instruments with Epic Beaker. Day to day, the analyst configures instrument definitions within Instrument Manager, establishes connectivity, and installs and validates appropriate DI drivers for each instrument. They evaluate driver compatibility, account for instrument model and firmware differences, and coordinate with vendors when configuration adjustments are required. The analyst builds instrument workflows in DI to ensure accurate result transmission and proper message formatting. In parallel, they configure Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology test records to align with DI output, including test codes, result components, units of measure, and reference ranges. They work closely with lab stakeholders to define and support instrument‑driven workflows within Beaker prior to go‑live. The role includes comprehensive instrument validation and parallel testing to confirm results match expected values before production cutover. The analyst participates in implementation planning, sequencing instrument deployments to minimize operational impact. They collaborate with instrument vendors and Data Innovations during build and testing phases to resolve driver or configuration constraints. Throughout the implementation, they document instrument builds, mappings, and technical decisions to support a controlled and repeatable rollout.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Epic Beaker certified in anatomic or clinical pathology (clinical preferred)
• 3+ years experience working hands on with Epic Beaker
○ Working on instrument to Beaker result mapping for instrument test codes to Epic Beaker test definitions
○ Building and modifying auto verification rules
• 3+ years experience working with Data Innovations (DI)
○ With hands on instrument manager install and configuration experience
○ For instrument driver set up/mapping and validation testing
Comfortable with a 12-pannel drug test, which includes Marijuana

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Anatomic pathology certification
• Blood bank experience (especially with Clinisys)
• Experience with specialty lab programs (genomics, HLA/molecular)
• Experience with billing charges for point of care
• HB or PV certifications
Telcore point of care experience
