Job Description
United Rentals is seeking temporary workers to support an increased volume of incoming equipment. This role focuses on equipment preparation and light electrical tasks to ensure units are customer-ready. The position is non-repair focused, with the primary goal of freeing up internal mechanics to concentrate on mechanical repairs.
Ideal candidates are hands-on, safety-minded, and comfortable working around aerial and material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Wrap scissor lift baskets with wire mesh
• Install and secure mesh using zip ties and cutting tools
• Install lighting kits and perform basic 2-wire electrical wiring (ground/common)
• Read and follow basic electrical schematics
• Test wiring to ensure proper power flow using electrical testing tools
• Wash and clean equipment to prepare units for customer delivery
• Based on skill level, assist with wiring backup cameras on reach forklifts
• Perform work efficiently while following all safety and quality standards
Assist with additional shop or yard tasks as needed
