Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Project Manager (Sr. PM) who would be responsible for ensuring all projects and associates working under their leadership deliver on time, on budget, and within scope. The Sr. PM is a recognized technical authority in the areas of Material Handling Systems (MHS), Control Systems, and Warehouse Management. They will be responsible for delegating tasks, as well as personally developing, delivering, and leading discussions pertaining to reports for both internal management and client leadership. Experience needs to include a broad understanding of project management understanding and showcasing judgment to plan and accomplish organizational goals.

This specific role will be at a customer's facility in Little Rock, AR. The Sr. PM will support the project director on site to oversee the commissioning team progress between electrical commissioning, controls commissioning, and functional/rate testing. They will also support punchlist oversight and interface with the installation leaders on site.

Day-to-Day
• Manages multiple, large complex projects with $30M+ budgets
• Working with external customer to adhere to specifications of their acceptance testing criteria within their warehouse
• Working with external customer as lead point of contact to maintain schedule and execution of timely acceptance testing
• Utilizes a broad understanding of project governance activities and tools in the delivery of projects and management of project risks
• Executes general processes associated with change controls, approvals, and information exchange involving both internal and external stakeholders and subcontractors
• Mitigates scope, schedule, and cost risks both internally and with customers
• Supports the development of departmental budgets and business plans for functional areas
• Manages and drives changes in a project actively resulting in Project Change Notice (PCN)
• Leverages progressive experience and knowledge to evaluate and compare material handling alternatives and technologies when supporting the design and implementation of solutions
• Applies a broad understanding of supply chain concepts, processes, and trends in the design and implementation of solutions.
• Demonstrates continuous consulting skills in support of problem resolutions, ensures client acceptance of agreed deliverables, provides critical support on approach and methods, and helps with developing closed-loop communications for project stakeholders

Compensation:

$60/hr to $65/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

○ Senior-level Controls/Testing project management expertise, managing large, complex projects across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
○ Proven financial and budget management skills, including developing, tracking, and controlling large CapEx budgets across multiple projects
○ Strong leadership and team management capabilities, including assigning responsibilities, setting clear expectations, and managing both on-site and remote teams
○ Strong risk, scope, schedule, and change management skills combined with advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proven record of resolving complex project challenges and delivering projects on time and within budget
○ Strong communication and presentation skills, able to engage executive leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams
○ Advanced client and stakeholder management experience, ensuring alignment, accountability, and acceptance of deliverables
○ High proficiency with project management tools and software, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
○ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management with 8+ years of experience, or 13+ years of equivalent professional experience
