Tax Accountant I

Overview
• Reports to Senior Tax Director
• Supports income tax compliance, tax provision, and indirect tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
• Works cross-functionally with tax leadership and third-party vendors
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and CMS-related regulations
Core Responsibilities
• Prepare and file state & local income tax, sales/use tax, annual reports, and business licenses
• Assist with income tax provision, extensions, and estimated payments
• Support compliance with regulatory and tax authorities
• Coordinate property tax filings with third-party preparers
• Assist with federal and state tax audits and resolve tax notices
• Prepare and reconcile select general ledger accounts
• Support tax planning initiatives and special projects
Manage multiple deadlines and maintain current tax law knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
0–2+ years of professional tax experience/internship

CPA preferred
