Job Description
An aerospace manufacturing organization is seeking a Solution Architect to support a Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) and digital thread initiative. This role will architect a new AI‑enabled production and manufacturing solution that captures, manages, and connects engineering, supplier, and customer data to drive improved business and manufacturing outcomes.
The Solution Architect will assist with the assessment of the current technical environment and engineering workflows, define a future‑state solution, and design the architecture, integrations, and implementation roadmap. The role requires strong understanding of traditional engineering and manufacturing processes and how they translate into model-based design artifacts, supporting design for manufacturability and production readiness. This includes integrating supplier inspection and quality data and enabling feedback loops to engineering and design teams.
This architect will design a scalable, secure framework supporting MBE and digital thread principles, define data flows, transformation rules, validation mechanisms, and architect integrations with existing enterprise systems and databases. They will evaluate and recommend appropriate tools and technologies, support solution build and testing, and deliver architecture and data flow documentation.
The role will also support deployment, user training, and post‑implementation optimization as the solution evolves and expands connectivity across the enterprise.
