Job Description
A national engineering firm is seeking O&M Specialists and Technicians to join their team in the Southeast for large scale federal projects both with design and installation of environmental systems. In this role, you will lead the fabrication, installation, commissioning, and ongoing operation of environmental and water treatment systems across field and shop environments. You’ll troubleshoot complex mechanical and system‑level issues, interpret detailed drawings and technical manuals, and serve as a hands‑on technical lead—directing and supporting technicians, trades, and construction personnel as needed. The role includes system testing, performance analysis, preventative maintenance, and regular travel to project sites to assess conditions and drive solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and operations leadership while upholding rigorous safety, quality, and compliance standards. Salary expectations start at 90,000-115,000 depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
· 5+ years of hands‑on experience in environmental systems, industrial equipment, fabrication, or construction environments
· Strong mechanical aptitude (use of hand tools, specialty tools; welding/brazing experience preferred)
· Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of technical execution
· Experience working alongside engineers, construction teams, and field personnel
· Comfort working in physically demanding field conditions and fabrication shops
· Willingness to travel and support multi‑day site visits
Strong documentation and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Water or wastewater treatment systems
· Environmental remediation or filtration equipment
· Manufacturing or industrial fabrication environments
· Experience supporting municipal, commercial, federal, or DoD projects
· HAZWOPER training (or willingness to obtain)
Trade school or other relevant certifications
