Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Data Platform Engineer in the Greater Denver Area. The Platform Engineer supports the technical foundation of the granular load forecasting project by designing, deploying and managing infrastructure and platform services. This role ensures that the technical environments--spanning development, testing, conversion and production--are stable, secure and scalable. The engineer will also support crosscutting activities such as data readiness, platform integration and cloud/hybrid hosting optimization in collaboration with solution teams and program leadership. You will primarily build and maintain data pipelines within Databricks, integrate forecast inputs from multiple internal teams, and ensure data flows reliably into the forecasting platform. Deliverables include ETL pipelines, workflows, ingestion processes, and support for data cleanup and standardization.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of experience in platform/system engineering, DevOps or infrastructure architecture
Strong Databrick experience
Python & SQL background
Experience building ETL pipelines and workflows
Experience managing and migrating data within SAP ISU
Strong understanding of security, scalability and performance consideration in enterprise systems.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Databricks Certification
Energy, Power or Utilities Industry Experience
Experience with non-standard data ingestion
Familiarity with enterprise IT integration environments
