Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Hardware Refresh Consultant to join one of our large financial services clients in New York City. This individual will provide hands-on desktop support to ensure seamless device replacements, upgrades, and end‑user transitions. The consultant will work directly with end users, coordinating hardware deployments, system configurations, and post-refresh support to minimize downtime and ensure a positive user experience. The ideal candidate is customer‑focused, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in fast‑paced environments that require both technical expertise and strong communication skills. This is a fully onsite opportunity in their Midtown, NYC office 5 days a week.
-Perform hands-on hardware refresh activities including device deployment, workstation setup, and peripheral connectivity.
-Install, configure, upgrade, and replace desktops, laptops, monitors, and related hardware.
-Provide white‑glove, desktop‑level support to end users during hardware refresh cycles.
-Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and basic application issues post‑deployment.
-Document refresh activities, asset information, and issue resolution in ticketing systems.
-Coordinate device swaps, data transfers, and user readiness activities.
-Escalate complex technical issues to senior support teams as needed.
-Test and validate refreshed devices to ensure full functionality prior to handoff.
-Maintain professionalism while supporting users in a high‑visibility financial services environment.
-Perform related duties consistent with the scope of the hardware refresh program.

Required Skills & Experience
-1–3 years of hands‑on IT support, desktop support, or hardware refresh experience.
-Strong knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and device setup.
-Experience installing, reconnecting, and troubleshooting PCs, monitors, and peripherals.
-Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-Ability to perform light physical activity (lifting, reconnecting, moving equipment).
-Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
