Job Description
The Project Management Office is seeking an experienced Contract IT Project Manager to oversee and deliver technology-driven initiatives. This role partners closely with business leaders, technical teams, and executive stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently and successfully. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in project planning and execution, team coordination, budget and resource oversight, risk management, and problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation through completion, including planning, execution, tracking, and delivery. Create and maintain key project documentation such as charters, scope definitions, schedules, budgets, risk and issue logs, and status reports.
Coordinate and manage both internal teams and external partners to ensure appropriate resource allocation, availability, and alignment with project timelines and objectives.
Track project progress using established tools, metrics, and reporting mechanisms. Proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and decision points, escalating concerns to leadership as needed.
Control project scope and manage change requests in alignment with PMO governance standards. Evaluate impacts of proposed changes and develop action plans to support informed decision-making.
Develop and execute implementation plans that align with business requirements and support a seamless transition from development into operational use.
Deliver regular project updates and performance reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
Lead and facilitate project meetings, ensuring agendas, meeting notes, action items, and deliverables are documented and distributed in a timely manner.
Support additional project management activities as needed to align with PMO goals and organizational priorities.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing technology-focused projects, such as software development, data initiatives, or cloud-based implementations.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Solid understanding of project management methodologies, including waterfall, agile, or hybrid approaches.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while coordinating across cross-functional teams.
Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, collaboration platforms, and project scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project or equivalent).
Experience working with vendors and third-party service providers.
