Job Description
This role will support infrastructure modernization efforts, focused on operating system, virtualization, and hardware firmware upgrades across the environment.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Perform Windows Server 2016 OS upgrades across remaining servers (approximately 200–300 systems)
Upgrade VMware environments from version 7 to 8, including ESX host upgrades
Execute firmware upgrades on HP and Dell servers to current supported versions
Coordinate upgrade activities to minimize downtime and ensure system stability
Validate systems post‑upgrade and troubleshoot any issues that arise
Document upgrade procedures, changes, and outcomes

Required Skills & Experience
Hands‑on experience performing Windows Server OS upgrades (Server 2016 or similar)
Strong VMware experience, including ESX host upgrades
Experience upgrading server firmware on HP and Dell hardware
Ability to work through large‑scale upgrade initiatives in a structured manner
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting environments with hundreds of servers
Familiarity with change management and documentation standards
Prior experience in enterprise infrastructure environments
