Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a motivated accounting professional to join our finance team as an
Accounts Payable & Accounting Associate. This role is designed for someone with an
interest in growing and building a long-term career in accounting. The position will initially focus
on accounts payable responsibilities and, as proficiency is demonstrated, expand to include
broader accounting functions. As you grow, you’ll gain exposure to core accounting
processes, month-end close, and financial reporting with opportunities to expand your
responsibilities over time.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities
• Process 3-way/goods receipt invoices (purchase order-receipt-invoice)
• Process 2-way invoices. Obtain proper management approvals prior to finalizing invoice for
payment
• Work with procurement and storeroom teams to resolve PO/invoice/receipt discrepancies
• Process accounts payable checks, ACH payments, and set-up wires for payment
• Respond to vendor inquiries
• Maintain electronic records of invoices, reports, and supporting documentation
• Prepare month-end accounts payable accruals and reconcile accounts payable accounts
• Complete month-end closing process for accounts payable in ERP system
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within accounts payable processes
Accounting Development Responsibilities
As experience is gained, assist with broader accounting functions including:
• Account reconciliations
• Journal entries
• Month-end close activities
• Supporting year-end close and audit requests
• Preparing ad hoc analyses for management
• Serving as back-up for Credit Manager, including posting cash receipts
• Participating in process improvement initiatives across the accounting function

Required Skills & Experience
Requirements
• Associates degree required, preferably in the accounting area
• 1-3 years of accounts payable experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, resilient and stress resistant
• Strong communication skills and willing to collaborate across the organization
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel
• Self-starter who looks for opportunities to improve processes
