Job Description

Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior HRIS Solutions Architect to take full ownership of UKG Pro configuration and governance. This role is critical to stabilizing and remediating current system gaps, including a known SOX compliance deficiency, and to establishing strong, auditable processes moving forward.
This is a hands‑on role for an experienced UKG Pro expert who can step in immediately, partner with senior HR leadership, and lead configuration, compliance, and documentation efforts across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Own all UKG Pro configurations across the platform, including:

Core HCM
Payroll
Benefits
Pay codes and deduction codes
Select Talent modules


Perform immediate and ongoing configuration work to support:

Business‑as‑usual operations
Enhancements and troubleshooting
New site or startup implementations


Address and remediate SOX compliance deficiencies, ensuring:

Proper controls are in place
Configurations and changes undergo peer review


Partner closely with senior HRIS leadership to:

Support UKG Pro across all functional areas
Serve as the senior technical SME


Support UKG Pro security, including:

Role‑based access
SOX‑aligned controls
Governance and audit readiness


Create, document, and maintain processes and controls, including:

Configuration documentation
SOX‑related process documentation
Operational and compliance workflows


Support organizations with union environments and hourly populations
Provide guidance and support related to Workforce Management (WFM) functionality as it intersects with UKG Pro

Required Skills & Experience

5–7+ years of hands‑on experience with UKG Pro
Deep expertise configuring UKG Pro across:

Core HCM
Payroll
Benefits
Pay and deduction codes


Experience supporting or configuring Workforce Management (WFM)
Strong understanding of:

SOX controls and compliance
Peer review requirements for HRIS configurations


Experience documenting:

HRIS processes
Security models
Compliance and audit controls


Proven experience supporting union setups and hourly employee populations
Strong troubleshooting and enhancement experience in live UKG Pro environments
Excellent communication skills with a high level of professionalism

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree
Prior experience serving as a senior or lead HRIS architect
Experience building processes and documentation from the ground up
