Insight Global’s client is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to join their team. This engineer will be responsible for developing automation tools and AI‑driven solutions that streamline operational workflows, improve system reliability, and support both application health and lab environments. The role involves building integrations using modern AI platforms, automating routine processes, designing intelligent monitoring and diagnostic tools, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams across regions. The ideal candidate has strong scripting and cloud experience, is comfortable working with large language model technologies, and can operate independently in a fast‑moving environment while supporting both day‑to‑day automation needs and long‑term AI initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, or AI engineering.
• Hands on experience developing solutions and building chatbots with one or more LLM/AI platform such as: Claude, AWS Bedrock, Copilot, etc.
• Strong experience with Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar languages used in AI workflows and automation.
• Experience building APIs, integrations, and automation workflows.
Strong communication skills and comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams across geographies.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with observability tools, incident management tooling, or application support environments.
• Experience with automation frameworks (CI/CD, test automation, workflow automation).
Understanding of shipboard or distributed operational environments.
