Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Backup Admin to join one of our financial clients in the downtown SLC area. This Backup Admin will provide unified production management support for the backup infrastructure of the firm, using cutting-edge systems and processes that form the core of our key business. They have the opportunity to work at the forefront of technology innovation alongside industry leaders and make significant contributions to the field. They will also adopt various tools developed by Engineering team to automate failures using machine learning techniques, notify discrepancies in the health of production environment and help in the automation of health-restoration, with a continuous focus on risk and cost.
Compensation:
$25.00/hr to $32.00/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
1+ year of experience in a Storage/Backup Administrator role
Good understanding of Unix/Linux
Good understanding of Backup Administration
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with Unix/Linux command line operations and server support
Understanding of how to troubleshoot basic Unix/Linux problems
Experience in medium to large IT infrastructure across multiple datacenters
Good understanding of enterprise level change, incident, and problem management processes
Effective communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well on a global team
Ability to work and prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment with a global focus
Automation utilizing scripting languages like bash, Python and/or Perl
Demonstrable experience supporting one or both of the following in a large environment: EMC Networker,
EMC Data Domain, EMC Avamar
Tape backup data restore using EMC Networker
Familiarity with AutoSys
Familiarity with SRDF and SRDF/A technologies
