Job Description
The Senior Director of Technology is a pivotal leadership role responsible for building, operating, and evolving the technology foundation that enables our product strategy and business outcomes.
Reporting to the CPTO, this leader owns the “how” of technology delivery—translating product vision into scalable, secure, and reliable platforms. The role sits within our Product & Technology organization, partnering closely with Product Management (the “why” and “what”) and Data & Analytics, while maintaining clear accountability for the Technology function.
This role is central to our evolution from a traditional IT centric model to a modern, product led technology organization, with a strong emphasis on our Salesforce CRM platform integration, and disciplined execution. The Senior Director of Technology also leads and governs our partnership with an external Managed Services Provider (MSP) responsible for Infrastructure, Information Security, and Help Desk services.
This position is ideal for a technology leader who thrives at the intersection of platform architecture, engineering execution, operational excellence, and business impact.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Technology Strategy & Leadership
• Partner with the CPTO and Product leadership to define and execute a technology roadmap that directly supports product strategy and company objectives.
• Serve as the senior-most leader accountable for technology execution, technical decision making, and delivery outcomes.
• Ensure technology strategy balances speed, scalability, reliability, and long term platform health.
Platform Architecture & Engineering
• Own the architecture and evolution of our core technology platforms, with Salesforce CRM as the primary system of record.
• Guide build vs. buy decisions and ensure Salesforce is leveraged effectively without constraining broader platform innovation.
• Ensure seamless integration across platforms, services, and data flows in support of end to end business processes.
Delivery, Reliability & Operational Excellence
• Own the delivery and operational performance of technology platforms, including availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Be accountable for measurable outcomes such as delivery throughput, system reliability, platform adoption, and contribution to key business metrics.
• Establish clear engineering standards, technical governance, and quality bars across the technology organization.
Agile Execution & Modern Development Practices
• Champion a pragmatic, outcome driven agile delivery model that emphasizes predictability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure modern development practices are consistently applied, including CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and observability.
• Balance rapid iteration with appropriate technical rigor and risk management.
Team Leadership & Engineering Culture
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high performing technology organization, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Build a modern software engineering discipline that attracts, develops, and retains top technical talent.
• Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and expectations within the Technology team.
MSP & Vendor Partnership
• Serve as the primary technology leader overseeing our external MSP across Infrastructure, Information Security, and Help Desk functions.
• Establish clear governance, performance metrics, and accountability models with external partners.
• Ensure internal engineering and product teams are tightly aligned with MSP delivered services.
Cross Functional Partnership
• Act as a trusted technology partner to leaders across the business, translating complex needs into effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Data & Analytics to ensure platform architecture enables trusted, timely, and scalable reporting and insights.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
