Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Backend Engineer for the Storage and Infrastructure team to build and operate the backend systems that store and protect critical customer data. This team powers the core platforms, ensuring data security, availability, performance, and compliance while enabling analytics, AI, and business intelligence.
What You’ll Do:
-Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain backend services end‑to‑end
-Develop high‑performance APIs and microservices using C# and .NET
-Build cloud‑native solutions using Azure (AKS, App Services, Blob Storage, SQL/NoSQL)
-Design and implement RESTful (and gRPC) APIs for critical storage endpoints
-Support migrations from legacy workflows to microservices
-Optimize systems for scalability, reliability, cost, and maintainability
-Participate in design and code reviews; mentor other engineers
-Collaborate cross‑functionally and communicate clearly in a fully remote, 2‑week sprint model
-Support production releases, deployment updates, and validation testing

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of professional software engineering experience
-Strong experience with C#, .NET, and API development
-Experience in the Microsoft ecosystem
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies
-Experience with Cosmos DB, Azure SQL / SQL MI, PostgreSQL
-Microservices architecture and migration experience
-Experience working on storage-layer systems or data-intensive services
-Experience supporting production systems at scale
