Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Business Development (BD) Manager to help expand a leading title insurer’s residential customer base across the Okanagan, Interior, and Kootenay regions, while also supporting the commercial Business Development team. This role is ideal for individuals practicing real estate law or those with strong business development experience in title insurance, mortgage lending, or legal services. Real estate lawyers and senior conveyancers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify residential title insurance opportunities to drive market share and revenue growth.
• Support and collaborate with the commercial BD team on strategic initiatives.
• Promote the use of title insurance among residential real estate lawyers, notaries, lenders, borrowers, and builders/developers.
• Manage day‑to‑day client needs, including responding to inquiries and file-related matters.
• Identify region‑specific opportunities for new coverage options and services.
• Set, track, and achieve defined sales targets and performance goals.
• Develop subject-matter expertise and champion new products.
• Participate in industry-related boards and committees, as requested.
• Attend relevant industry trade shows and conferences.
• Provide market insights, analysis, and feedback.
• Support out‑of‑region events and team functions.
Develop content, prepare presentations, and deliver talks on title insurance at events hosted by organizations such as CBA, BCNA, real estate associations, universities, and other industry groups.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience practicing real estate law in private practice or equivalent business development experience in either title insurance, mortgage lending, insurance, or legal products. Real estate lawyers and/or sr. conveyancers are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to be licensed with the Insurance Counsel of BC (criminal record search required)
• Knowledge of Residential Real Estate Law
• Valid and in good standing driver’s license
• Willing to travel for various amounts of time
Professional sales approach and the ability to build relationships

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Knowledge of Commercial real estate law is an asset
