Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Documentation Technician, also known as an Office Engineer, to join our team. This role focuses primarily on office-based tasks, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation for IDOT construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IDOT documentation procedures and be proficient in managing project records. While field experience is not required, a solid grasp of construction project flow and related paperwork is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, process, and manage all necessary documentation for IDOT projects.
• Ensure all project documentation adheres to IDOT standards and guidelines.
• Maintain organized and accessible project files, both physical and digital.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather required information and ensure timely submissions.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support project operations.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience in documentation for IDOT or Illinois Tollway projects is required.
Familiarity with IDOT's specific documentation requirements and processes.
Proficiency in relevant software for document management and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain the IDOT Quantity Certification (DOC)
