Job Description
Insight Global is hiring Quality Receiving Inspectors to join a manufacturing operations team responsible for ensuring quality and compliance of incoming materials at a contract manufacturing medical device company. These inspectors will evaluate PCBs, mechanical parts, custom cables, adhesives, labels, and other components to verify that each item meets required specifications before moving into production.
In this role, you’ll review engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier documentation such as Certificates of Conformance and FAIRs. You’ll complete inspections using standard metrology tools and, when applicable, CMM or visual measurement systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming PCBs, mechanical components, and cables against drawings/specs
- Review supplier documentation (CoCs, FAIRs, etc.)
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection using standard tools
- Document findings and report nonconformances
- Work through daily priority inspection lists
- Use ERP systems (Epicor) to record inspection results
- Support production by ensuring timely material flow

Required Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years in receiving inspection, quality inspection, or supplier quality
- Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and part specs
- Experience inspecting PCBs, mechanical parts, plastics, cables, labels, adhesives
- Familiarity with basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, microscopes, pin gauges)
- Comfortable reviewing Certificates of Conformance and FAIRs
- Proficiency with computer systems and ERP platforms (Epicor)
- Strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Regulated industry background (medical device, aerospace/defense, military)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- IPC‑A‑610 or IPC‑A‑620 certification
- Experience with CMM or Micro-Vu/vision inspection equipment
- Lean/Six Sigma training
- Strong technical writing for defects/issues
