Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an HVAC Controls Technician to to join their clients growing team. This BAS Tech supports the installation, programming, startup, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems. Working closely with the BAS Team Leader, this position bridges field execution with project management—ensuring each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. The Technician will be responsible for demonstrating a growing technical proficiency, mentoring entry-level technicians, and contributing to maintaining high standards. This person should have multiple years of experience working with different BAS systems, ideally HVAC and understand the different controls platforms and languages associated.

Required Skills & Experience
• 3–5 years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or related technical field.
• Associate’s degree in HVAC, electrical technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in reading control drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans.
• Familiarity with control networks (BACnet/IP, MSTP, Modbus, etc.).
• Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office, network setup, control front-ends).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Basic programming experience with Delta Controls or Niagara preferred.
