Job Description
A gas and oil company headquartered in Long Beach, CA is looking for a fuel analyst. They will be responsible for all accounting functions of the Company's Fuel Inventory and reporting. Their day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processing fuel and non-fuel invoices
- Receiving and preparing fuel and freight bills and reports
- Processing EFT'S at the bank
- Balance sheet, credit card, and inventory reconciliation
- Perform daily analysis of accounts for variances
- Prepare daily and weekly financial metrics for internal and external customers
- Serve as a SME on all matters related to Fuel Inventory
- Month end close financial preparation

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of exp in general ledger accounting
Strong experience with Excel - reconciliation, tracking data, looking at trends, pivot tables, x- look ups
Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliation
Strong experience with journal entries
Strong experience with any enterprise system
Bachelor's Degree
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience from the fuel, gas, oil, or retail industry
Experience with inventory reconciliation
