Job Description

A mortgage company in San Diego is looking for a Bilingual Servicing Specialist to join their team! This is a fully onsite position.

The Servicing Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the ongoing management of mortgage loans post-origination. This position ensures accurate and timely processing of loan payments, escrow analysis, customer inquiries, and account maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and knowledgeable about mortgage servicing regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Loan Account Management:
Maintain and update borrower accounts, ensuring accuracy in payment application, escrow disbursements, and loan balances.

Customer Service:
Respond to borrower inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding loan status, payment history, escrow accounts, and payoff requests.

Escrow Administration:
Conduct escrow analyses, manage tax and insurance disbursements, and ensure compliance with RESPA guidelines.

Delinquency Monitoring:
Track and report delinquent accounts, assist in collections efforts, and coordinate with loss mitigation teams when necessary.

Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure servicing activities comply with federal, state, and investor guidelines. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting.

Payment Processing:
Process incoming payments, manage auto-draft setups, and resolve payment discrepancies.

Reporting & Analysis:
Generate servicing reports and assist in identifying trends or issues that require escalation or resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

High school diploma
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
1+ year of professional experience in mortgage or financial industry
Excellent customer service and prioritization skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree
Understanding of mortgage loan products, escrow processes, and servicing regulations.
Experience with Encompass
