Job Description

A healthcare client is seeking to hire a JIRA Administrator to support their enterprise wide JIRA Implementation efforts.
Currently, their project delivery teams are using several different tools for their development, ITSM, operational workflows and project management processes. As part of this new Jira Implementation effort, the administrator is responsible for configuring the environment, mapping business processes to technical workflows, managing user permissions, and setting up security protocols. Key Responsibilities include:

• System Configuration & Setup: Defining project structures, custom fields, screens, workflows, and issue types to match organizational needs.
• User & Permission Management: Managing user access, group memberships, and permission schemes
• Workflow Customization: Designing and implementing complex workflows to support specific business processes.
• Integration & Plugins: Installing, configuring, and managing Marketplace apps and integrations with tools like Confluence or Bitbucket.
• Administration & Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance and monitoring system performance

NOTE: although this is a fully remote role, applicants must be based in EST or CST time zones, and willing to work EST time zone hours

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years experience as a Jira Administrator
- Expertise with Jira System Configuration and Setup for a new implementation effort
- 5+ years managing group & user access schemes in a large enterprise environment
- Expertise creating logic flow charts and process diagrams when mapping processes to complex technical workflows
- Proficiency in Jira administration and configuration.
- Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, and permission models.
- Knowledge of Jira add-ons and plugins and their integration.
- Experience in Jira data migration and integration with external systems.
Familiarity with Jira Service Desk administration and configuration.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Jira Administrator Certifications
- Familiarity with Jira REST APIs and scripting for customization.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL queries for Jira data analysis and management.
- Experience in the healthcare industry
