Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a solution architect to work for our engineering and design client. This person will partner with IT and business teams to drive solution designs for the organization's transformation initiatives and ensure architecture best practices. You should have experience partnering with product, engineer, design and operation teams to recommend technology solutions and then lead technical solution processes. You will be managing complex requirements and assessing project risk to determine the right solutions. You should have experience with cloud platforms, PLM/PDM systems, ERP platforms and MES systems. This is a remote role and a 6 month contract with potential extensions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with Cloud platforms and tools (AWS, Microsoft, Autodesk)
• Experience communicating technical topics in execution level detail and high level detail
• Experience partnering with customers to understand business models and develop proposals for technical solutions
• Deep understanding of engineering, design and manufacturing processes
○ Change management, revision control, and product execution workflows
• Experience integrating PLM/PDM systems with ERP and MES platforms (Autodesk Valt, Fusion Manage, Windchill or Teamcenter)
• Familiarity with MES systems, production scheduling and data collection (Siemens Opcenter, FactoryTalk, Tulip or similar)
Experience operating in multi-business environments balancing local autonomy with shared architectural standards and centralized ERP integration

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• InforLN Experience
• Experience architecting integrations between Autodesk tools and ERP systems
• Familiarity with manufacturing data models and process digitization concepts such as EBOM/MBOM/ECO synchronization, shop-floor traceability, and product genealogy
• Understanding of industrial IoT or edge data collection technologies for manufacturing operations
• API and data pipeline experience
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and microservices
• Experience with container technologies
• Experience with DevOps methodologies
Experience with enterprise architecture platforms
