Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Functional Lead – Wealth Management Technology to support a large-scale transformation program within the wealth domain. This is a senior functional leadership role, not a Business Analyst position.

The Functional Lead will have end-to-end ownership of a wealth technology domain or pod, acting as the functional authority responsible for solution direction, stakeholder alignment, and delivery outcomes across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end functional leadership for a Wealth Management technology domain or pod
- Act as the functional decision-maker, accountable for scope, requirements quality, and sign-off
- Lead and oversee a team of Business Analysts, driving work to timelines and program standards
- Serve as the primary interface between wealth business stakeholders, technology teams, and delivery
- Identify required stakeholders by topic and lead reviews to achieve timely decisions and approvals
- Represent the wealth function in program governance, design forums, and leadership meetings
- Conduct hands-on functional analysis, including independent research of regulations, policies, and internal processes
- Document current-state and future-state business and technology processes
- Prepare and facilitate working sessions with clear, well-structured materials
- Coach and mentor BAs to ensure consistent, high-quality output

Wealth Management Focus Areas (Examples)
- Advisor and client platforms (advisor desktop, client portals, digital onboarding)
- Portfolio management, account structures, and investment products
- Trading, order management, and downstream processing
Operations, reporting, and management information (MI)
- Regulatory and compliance impacts specific to wealth management

- Clear functional direction for wealth technology initiatives
- Strong alignment across business, technology, and delivery teams
- Timely decision-making and sign-off with minimal rework
- High-quality analysis, documentation, and governance representation
- Effective leadership and mentorship of BA resources

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years experience in a Functional Lead, Domain Lead, or similar senior role
- Proven experience leading wealth management technology initiatives
- Strong understanding of advisor platforms, wealth operations, and related regulatory considerations
- Demonstrated ability to own a functional domain (not task-based execution)
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across business and technology
- Experience leading teams of Business Analysts
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to form and defend recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in large, complex, and regulated environments (financial services required)
