Job Description
One of Insight Global's customers is looking to onboard a Sr. Linux Administrator to design, deploy, and maintain Linux/Unix systems supporting enterprise-level applications and services. Their days will involve architecture planning for servers, networks, storage, and cloud infrastructure, as well as supporting RedHat, Tomcat/Java apps, authentication services, and automation frameworks like Ansible or Salt. They’ll regularly perform OS upgrades, implement new services, execute backups, and ensure system security and compliance through audits and policy enforcement. This role also involves scripting for automation, collaborating with cross-functional teams on new services or academic/technical initiatives, and troubleshooting issues. This is a 6 month contract with possible extensions and will be remote in LATAM.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of system administration experience and a B.S. in CS/Engineering (M.S. preferred).
5+ years hands on Linux administration (RedHat preferred).
5+ years supporting AWS environments (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).
Strong experience with system design for scalable, highly available Linux/Unix environments.
Experience managing RedHat servers, authentication services, Tomcat/Java apps, and config mgmt tools (Ansible/Salt).
Solid understanding of networking: routing, subnets, DNS, firewall configuration.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform
Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills.
Strong experience with mass automation, provisioning, and system lifecycle management
Scripting in Python (preferred), Go, and/or JavaScript
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Shibboleth IdP/SP and SAML authentication systems.
Experience administering OpenSearch or ELK (Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana) stacks.
