Job Description
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design, evolution, and technical excellence of enterprise‑scale shared services and operations platforms used across a retain company. This role will play a critical part in modernizing and scaling systems that support operations, proactive alerts, dashboards, messaging, ticketing, and mobile experiences across more than 50 desktop and mobile applications.
The ideal candidate is a strong full stack engineer with a heavy back‑end focus with solution architecture experience, deep understanding of microservices, and the ability to redesign systems holistically while empowering teams through technical leadership.

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including Staff‑level or equivalent responsibilities
Strong expertise in backend engineering, distributed systems, and service‑oriented architecture
Proven experience designing and scaling microservice ecosystems in large enterprises
Hands‑on experience with JavaScript (Node.js) and Java
Experience working with Kafka or similar event‑streaming platforms
Strong understanding of cloud‑based databases, preferably in Azure
Demonstrated ability to redesign existing systems and lead large‑scale refactoring initiatives
Ability to explain and defend technology and architectural decisions
Experience working in large, complex organizations with shared platforms and multiple stakeholders
