Job Description

The Residential Account Manager acts as the main liaison between the company and its residential homebuilder partners. This position oversees the pre‑construction sales process from initial plan review through pricing, contract award, and transition into operations.
Working closely with sales leadership, estimating, and operations teams, this role ensures construction documents are accurately interpreted and translated into clear scopes of work that support downstream pricing and execution. The position requires the ability to manage a large volume of plans and proposals while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and strong customer communication.

Required Skills & Experience

- Three to five years of experience in residential construction–related roles such as pre‑construction, estimating, sales support, or account management within building products or exterior trades
- Strong ability to understand and interpret residential plans, elevations, and written specifications
- Working knowledge of exterior cladding systems, including siding, trim components, soffit, fascia, and accessories
- Familiarity with common siding materials such as fiber cement, vinyl, engineered wood, and stone products
- Proven capability to handle fast‑paced, high‑volume workloads without sacrificing attention to detail
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with experience explaining scope and pricing to builder customers
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with experience using estimating, CRM, or construction‑related software platforms
Prior use of ERP or CRM systems such as Sage Intacct, Salesforce, or comparable tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with Sage Intact ERP
- Prior experience working with large production or national homebuilders
- Familiarity with leading siding manufacturers and product lines, including James Hardie, LP SmartSide, and major vinyl systems
- Knowledge of residential construction practices and market conditions in North Carolina or the Southeast
Experience partnering cross‑functionally with estimating, purchasing, and field operations teams in a production environment
