Job Description

The UCSF Reporting Lead is accountable for ensuring reporting readiness, stability, and credibility for Oracle Cloud Phase 1 across Finance, Supply Chain, and HCM. This role provides visibility into reporting scope, data lineage, risks, and readiness, and serves as the primary point of coordination between functional teams, IT, and downstream reporting and data warehouse stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

1. Reporting Inventory & Requirements
• Maintain a validated inventory of all in-scope reports
• Document reporting requirements (functional and technical)
• Identify report ownership, purpose, frequency, and criticality
• Surface gaps, redundancies, and high-risk reports
2. Current-State to Future-State Mapping
• Map legacy and UCPath reports to Oracle Cloud equivalents
• Define replace, redesign, retire, or defer decisions
• Document data lineage for high-impact reports
3. Reporting Readiness & Cutover Planning
• Define Day-1 vs post-go-live reporting expectations
• Develop a reporting cutover and fallback strategy
• Align reporting readiness to overall project milestones
4. Data Validation & Reconciliation
• Establish baseline comparisons and validation approaches
• Establish documented reconciliation rules and acceptable variance thresholds to support consistent reporting validation during testing and stabilization.
• Support explanation of variances across systems and releases
5. Issue & Risk Management
• Lead reporting defect intake, triage, prioritization, and tracking
• Identify reporting risks tied to configuration, security, and releases
• Define mitigation strategies and escalation paths
6. Governance & Change Impact Assessment
• Assess reporting impacts for configuration changes and releases
• Surface downstream impacts before changes are approved
7. Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
• Facilitate regular reporting forums and working sessions
• Produce meeting agendas, notes, and action tracking
• Provide a regular reporting status update covering progress, risks, dependencies, and upcoming milestones
• Ensure transparency across Finance, SCM, HR, DW, and IT teams
8. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
• Maintain centralized reporting documentation
• Document report logic, dependencies, and ownership to support ongoing maintenance and support
• Enable transition to steady-state support
