Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an EDI Architect to support a multi-national power management client of ours.
Responsibilties:
• Lead the end to end architecture, design, and governance of EDI and B2B integrations across the enterprise, ensuring scalable and future ready data exchange frameworks.
• Architect EDI solutions leveraging Sterling Integrator / B2B Integrator, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), partner networks, and internal middleware platforms.
• Define EDI/B2B architectural standards, integration patterns, mapping conventions, and best practices for development and support teams.
• Review complex business requirements and translate them into high level and detailed technical designs, including data models, document flows, routing rules, and mapping specifications.
• Oversee the development and implementation of EDI maps, SI Business Processes, partner configurations, communication setups, and document exchanges.
• Collaborate with business units, ERP teams, infrastructure, and external trading partners to design robust, secure, and compliant integration flows.
• Lead critical initiatives such as partner onboarding, system migrations, architecture modernization, cloud readiness, and platform performance optimization.
• Conduct deep analysis of existing EDI landscapes and recommend continuous improvement, system re engineering, and automation opportunities.
• Ensure reliability and high availability of EDI environments by defining monitoring frameworks, alerting mechanisms, and operational SLAs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to EDI developers, SI specialists, and support analysts, ensuring alignment to architectural standards.
• Handle escalations for complex EDI issues, leading cross functional root cause analysis and implementing long term corrective actions.
• Manage integration risks, dependencies, and architectural impacts across global EDI landscapes.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, communication protocols, and architectural enhancements to advance enterprise B2B capabilities.
• Ensure EDI solutions meet corporate security, compliance, audit, and data governance requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, system diagrams, partner specifications, and solution blueprints.

Required Skills & Experience
• Extensive experience designing and architecting solutions in IBM Sterling Integrator / B2B Integrator including:
o BP design patterns
o Advanced services
o Enveloping/de enveloping
o Protocol configurations
o System scaling and performance tuning
• Deep expertise in EDI frameworks (EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML, Flat File, IDoc) and cross industry B2B messaging standards
• Strong understanding of SAP IDoc, Oracle EBS XML/Flat File, and other ERP integration mechanisms.
• Expertise in communication protocols: AS2, OFTP2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S, MQ, VAN, certificates, encryption, and security standards.
• Skilled in designing and reviewing complex EDI maps using tools like Sterling Map Editor and advanced mapping standards.
• Experience leading large scale onboarding programs involving hundreds of trading partners across multiple regions.
• Strong understanding of cloud migration paths, hybrid architectures, and containerized deployments (advantageous).
• Strong debugging and analytical skills for SI logs, communication traces, routing failures, and ERP posting errors.
