Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Specialist to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience connecting to diverse data sources, preparing and cleaning data, and designing, building, and publishing interactive Tableau dashboards. This role requires strong technical expertise, a keen eye for data visualization best practices, and the ability to analyze complex datasets to uncover insights, patterns, and trends. Experience with Tableau Server administration and SQL is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Tableau Development & Visualization
· Design, develop, and publish interactive Tableau dashboards that deliver clear, actionable insights.
· Connect Tableau to multiple data sources (databases, flat files, cloud sources, etc.).
· Clean, transform, and model data to support reporting needs using Tableau Desktop and optionally Tableau Prep.
· Apply data visualization best practices to ensure dashboards are intuitive, performant, and effective.
Data Analysis
· Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
· Validate data integrity and ensure analytical accuracy.
Dashboard Maintenance & Support
· Maintain and enhance existing Tableau dashboards and data sources.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to dashboard functionality, data refreshes, and performance.
· Work with Tableau extracts and optimize extract schedules.
Tableau Server Administration
· Manage permissions, user access, and content organization on Tableau Server.
Perform basic Tableau Server maintenance tasks such as monitoring performance, managing refresh tasks, and coordinating with infrastructure teams as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
· Proficiency with Tableau Desktop (designing, building, publishing dashboards).
· Experience connecting to and working with diverse data sources.
· Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and validating data.
· Solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
· Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and uncovering insights.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Knowledge of Tableau Server administration (permissions, extracts, content management).
Understanding of data visualization best practices.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Experience with Tableau Prep for data cleaning and transformation.
· Experience with Power BI for additional reporting needs.
Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for dashboards and data sources.
