Job Description
The Plumbing / Piping Superintendent is responsible for leading plumbing and piping operations on large‑scale, $150M ground‑up projects within a single facility. This role provides overall field leadership across General Foremen, Foremen, and large craft teams, ensuring execution, safety, quality, and schedule alignment across complex, high‑dollar projects.
Projects are strictly ground‑up hospital and medical facilities or large‑scale commercial construction, including data centers, universities, and semiconductor facilities.
This role is not aligned with residential construction or oil & gas backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all plumbing and piping field operations on $150M ground‑up projects within a single facility
Oversee and direct General Foremen, ensuring consistent execution across all work areas
Develop and manage overall manpower strategy and labor loading
Drive project sequencing, production planning, and schedule adherence
Coordinate plumbing/piping scope with other trades to avoid conflicts and delays
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance across all crews
Maintain consistent quality standards and inspection readiness
Monitor progress and implement recovery plans when schedule or manpower risks arise
Support testing, inspections, and final turnover activities
Serve as the primary field point of contact for plumbing/piping execution
Communicate project status, risks, and manpower needs to leadership

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Plumbing/Piping Superintendent or equivalent
Proven experience leading $150M ground‑up projects within a single facility
Strong background in commercial plumbing and piping systems
Experience overseeing multiple General Foremen and large field crews
Deep understanding of construction sequencing, manpower planning, and production control
Experience working in healthcare or large‑scale commercial environments
Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications
Strong safety leadership and jobsite discipline
Proven ability to lead large teams in high‑pressure, schedule‑driven environments
Stable work history (no job hopping)
